GUIDED LEARNING PORTFOLIO
Hi! My name is Varnshiipreeya. I am a Year 2 student in Temasek Polytechnic, studying Early Childhood Development & Education.
I created this Portfolio to showcase my learning, achievements and work, having undertaken the subject module, Guided Learning.

WHAT IS GUIDED LEARNING?
Guided Learning stems from the concept of self-regulated or self-directed learning.
In this approach, student action and will is the key.
Students see themselves as agents of their own learning and develop the motivation to pursue learning in an area of interest.
4 STAGES IN SELF-DIRECTED LEARNING
At Temasek Polytechnic, we use a 4-step learning process to help students develop self-directed learning skills.
Known as the PPMR stages, they are:
Plan
Perform
Monitor
Reflect

MY LEARNING PROJECT
I want to introduce topics like Diversity and Racial Harmony through writing and illustrating a children's book in a light-hearted yet meaningful way.

For my Guided Learning Project, I have written and illustrated a book called, 'The Four Friends'. I have also created an E-book version of 'The Four Friends' that can be found in this E-Portfolio.
