THE FOUR FRIENDS
'The Four Friends' is a storybook that showcases the four main races in Singapore: Chinese, Eurasian, Indian and Malay. The friends love to play at the playground together and get along well.

Like other children, the four friends get tired and hungry after playing for some time. They decide to sit down and pull out some snacks from their bags to eat.

THE WRITING
This book was carefully and thoughtfully written by me.
I wrote the book in a way where there would be a rhythm to it when reading.

Each line has the same number of syllables as its following line, with each of them ending with words that rhyme.
A lot of counting was required and I had to be selective with my choices and phrasing of words.

Who knew writing could involve Math!

THE ILLUSTRATIONS
All the illustrations in this book were drawn by me!
I drew my illustrations on an iPad, using the app, ‘ibis Paint X’.
I am no artist but I tried my best to draw illustrations that were understandable and supported the text. I made sure to keep the colours of each character the same throughout the book for consistency and recognition.
